Stoughton Boys Basketball offers a variety of competition levels for boys in 3rd through 8th grade.
Our teams compete in the Badger Development League (BDL) from grades 3 - 8. The BDL hosts between 4-6 weekends of games per year and an end-of-season tournament in area communities. Almost all sites are less than 45 minutes from Stoughton. Our teams also compete in several additional tournaments throughout the year. For more information about the BDL, go to www.badgerdleague.com
The Stoughton Boys Basketball Association is the official program of Stoughton Boys Basketball. We offer programming for Boys from 3rd grade through 8th grade and offer support to our High School team.
The SBBA board has been closely monitoring the status of COVID in Dane County and the state, hoping with all of you that we’d be able to play some basketball. The newest Dane County order further limits the short term possibility to play, and beyond that, securing gym space while schools remain substantially closed is a challenge without a good solution.
We are committed to keeping our options open as long as we can, and thus are staying in wait and see mode for now. In an earlier communication, we said we’d open up a no-fee registration option but have elected not to pursue this given recent developments with COVID. Our plan is to revisit this in late December to mid-January, intent on making a final decision about the youth season on or before Jan 15, 2021.
SBBA's approach is based on the following:
Currently, basketball games and contact practices are not permitted by the Public Health of Dane County and Madison.
Stoughton Area School District is currently virtual and we have not yet received any plan for gym availability this winter.
The Badger Developmental League, as of their most recent communication, is still preparing for a season; however, the statewide mask mandate and many school districts opting for virtual school may delay or prevent BDL from scheduling.
SBBA is closely monitoring the situation and hoping for the best, with the goal of providing quality, safe basketball programming to our players. We will communicate any developments.
Congrats to Coach Nolan Weber and the High School basketball program on their Badger Conference South Championship!

All participants will have access to quality coaching, facilities, equipment, practice time, and other resources to enhance their experience.
